Our Club
What we do.
Since 1990 the Rotary Club of Frankston Sunrise has served the local and overseas communities with its efforts in house building and refurbishing. In a small village in Vanuatu school rooms were built. Other overseas efforts include collecting educational and medical/hospital items and packing them in shipping containers for Nauru, Tonga, Vanuatu and recently for Sri Lanka with the heart/lung machine.
Our fund raising efforts include an annual Charity Golf Day, gatekeeping at Frankston VFL home games and smaller functions such as dinners. Motivation Monday has been a major free presentation available to all schools. Many groups benefit including Peninsula Hospice, Peninsula Cancer Support, Royal Flying Doctor Service, St. Paul's Breakfast program, Marine Rescue, the Variety Club and the Wheelchair Foundation to name just a few.
Recent projects have been the building of a Mobility Garden at the St. John of God Rehabilitation Hospital and the fitting of planks to the Frankston Foreshore Boardwalk.
The Club has a strong band of community business supporters who make so many of our efforts successful with their generous donations of goods and services.
